We might still be seeing 100+ temps, but don’t let that stop you from making the most of the October with this list of seasonal things to do in Yuma, Arizona.

  • 10/6 - Get ready to listen to some live music by Mike Pinto at Jimmie Dee’s. Tickets are $10 at the door. The Gwynn Sisters will open for Mike and his band. Doors open at 7 PM and is for those aged 21 and over.

  • 10/8 - Head to Historic Downtown Yuma on Main Street for the Tacos & Tunes Block Party. The event will kick off at 10 AM and last until 9 PM. Get ready to eat lots of tacos and to listen to live music.

  • 10/11 - Get ready to make reservations for the annual opening of The Garden Cafe! This family owned restaurant sure is fabulous. From the customer service to the delicious food, it’s a local favorite for sure! Breakfast and lunch are served Tuesday - Sunday during the months of October through May.

  • 10/21 - The Dia de los Muertos Celebration and Parade by Chicano Art Collective and the Yuma Crossing Heritage Area will be held at the Yuma Territorial Prison from 6-10 PM. Tickets are $5 for those ages 15+. Everyone under 15 is free! Bring your own chair and be ready for story telling, face paining, food and more!

  • 10/25 - The 23rd annual Heart of Yuma Awards Ceremony is hosted by the Arizona Community Foundation of Yuma. This event recognizes local leaders that are doing amazing things for Yuma County. Admission includes appetizers and they are going to be delicious! Get your tickets in advance!
